Does a mindful morning routine with CBD peak your interest? The routine you go through each day can have an impact on how the rest of the day unfolds.

How do you start your day? With coffee and email? Picking up your phone and looking at the news? A shower then breakfast, then out the door?

Most people don’t start the day off with a mindful morning routine or any routine except for stretching your time in bed to the last moments when we pop up and rush around, unfocused, coffee in hand and car keys in the other.

By the end of the day we may be complaining about how our day went, without even considering what state of being we would be in if we were more prepared, more mindful.

Why a Morning Routine Matters

Mornings are when you can make the most out of the rest of your day. Morning routines are big part of many of the most successful people’s drive.

Tony Robbins has an incredible mindful morning routine which gets into breathing exercises to fuel the body and mind with oxygen and spending time in complete gratitude, be it for his life, his family etc.

Oprah Winfrey’s mindful morning routine “tunes her in” and involves exercise and a morning meditation, which she accomplishes in a short 30 minutes. It gives her hop and a sense of joyous contentment. She always ends her routine with a mindfully prepared healthy breakfast.

Other morning routines include:

Wim Hof Breathing Method – This involves breathing in deeply and exhaling rapidly 30 to 40 times followed by a full exhale and breath hold with no air in the lungs. Typically, people who practice do four or five sets of this breathing routine.

After the first set hold your breath for 90 seconds. By the fourth set doing two to two-and-a-half minutes. Doing five sets people often reach three minutes. When holding your breath close your eyes and try to clear your mind. The clearer the mind is, the longer the breath hold. After holding your breath, breath in deeply and hold again for 15 seconds.

5 Ways to Create a Relaxing, Mindful Morning Routine

  1. Set Your Alarm for 15 Minutes Earlier

The first step in getting into a mindful morning routine is to wake up early, even just 15 minutes earlier. The extra 15 minutes of awake you get in the morning is just enough time to incorporate at least 2 more aspects of our routine tips. Additionally, the time waking time needful before you start the next tip. If you really want to turn up the routine, get up a full 30 minutes earlier each day. Your sleep cycle may improve and so may your concentration and productivity.

  1. Gratitude, Gratitude, Gratitude

We awaken and the brain can go into instant hyperdrive, especially if you are one who I described earlier. Things often come up for most, like what you need to accomplish, what happened last night, what if this, what if that, etc.

Do you ever stop to think about the fact that your next breath is something to be grateful for?

Meditate on 3 things that you can be in gratitude for, even small things; waking up healthy and aware or that your significant other is in your life, or your children, or even the funny movie you watch the night before that left you laughing.

Each day is a gift and an opportunity for gratitude. 

Practicing gratitude is one of the habits practiced by many successful and happy people. Being in gratitude has the powerful ability to lead you to experience positive emotions, have more compassion, be a more kind and compassionate human being and support your physical health.

  1. Quiet Contemplation

Mindfulness is accompanied by mediation and quiet contemplation, and just 5 – 10 minutes in your morning routine can change your day. This practice of meditation in the morning can keep us in action, instead of reaction. More and more people, especially most successful people, are advocates of mediation. Why? Because it works.
