Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, there has been global panic whilst the public try to prepare themselves. Following the virus being officially declared a pandemic, governments across the world have put their countries on lock down, whilst others are choosing to self-isolate in fear of catching the virus or passing it on to those more vulnerable. This has resulted in mass shortages across the globe, with supermarkets selling out of essentials such as toilet paper, tinned foods, rice, pasta, cleaning products and much more. There are currently over 164,000 cases of coronavirus confirmed, along with over 6400 deaths.

For the best protection against coronavirus, it is advised to avoid the following; touching the face/eyes, having contact with anybody presenting symptoms, going to work or in public if you have one or more of the symptoms, and sharing items such as mugs, make-up, and drinks.
CBD and The Immune System
The Immune System
The immune system is a network of tissues, cells, and organs that collectively work with one another to help fight off foreign bodies whilst helping to destroy cells within the body that are not working properly. As a result, our immune system is amazing at helping our bodies fight off infections and illnesses.
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS)
The endocannabinoid system is a complex cell signalling system within the body. The endocannabinoid system is made up of cannabinoids, receptors, and enzymes. Whilst
endocannabinoids are made within the body (endogenous cannabinoids), The ECS can also be stimulated with plant-based cannabinoids, which as a result can help bring balance to the body.
The endocannabinoid system works by binding with receptors in the body to help the body to achieve homeostasis, these receptors help to regulate functions in the body such as sleep, appetite, fertility, mood, the metabolism and immune system. This as a result may aid the body in fighting off antibodies.
A balanced diet is also crucial in helping to protect the immune system. Foods such as citrus fruits, broccoli, poultry and shellfish are a great way to help boost the metabolism. Additionally, green tea and turmeric are also known for their many health benefits as well as their immune boosting properties.
Overall, amongst all the panic it is important to try and remain calm. Hand washing is the most effective way of preventing the spread of the virus and ensuring a balanced diet is more likely to help the body fight off antibodies.
